Today's Smart Phone Market and the Best Android Keyboards by Vin
One of the top areas for change and innovation in U.S. markets these days is the smart phone and tablet computing arena. In recent days cell phones were simply a method for talking to folks by way of voice telephone calls. Back then the capabilities of these somewhat mobile phones was considered impressive but today the features of modern phones has expanded to encompass many more activities than simple voice communications.
One of the most popular smart phones in the market is the iPhone from Apple and fans of the brand eagerly await the iPhone 5's upcoming announcement. There is however a great deal of competition that the iPhone faces from the Android operating system with it's wide array of handsets which consumers can choose from. Backed by the power of Google this Linux based operating system has transformed itself into a powerful player in the smart phone market. The only drawback to the flexibility of the Android OS is the fact that since it is implemented on so many different handsets there can be less standardization in comparison with the very clean-cut, top down culture of Apple products.
Today with the power of modern smart phones -which often surpasses that of yesteryear's PCs- you can not only make voice calls and send text messages but also take care of email, surf the web and record high quality video. One of the most popular cameras today is the camera in the iPhone 4 which doubles as many people's point-and-shoot camera with excellent results.
Most modern smart phones have moved in the direction of touch screens for the user interaction experience. That said there are still a number of Android phones which come with physical keyboards. Which model is the best Android keyboard phone is up for debate since the options are fairly varied. One of the first and foremost Android phones with a keyboard was the Motorola Droid and it's popularity has spawned successors that continue the physical keyboard tradition.
For folks who really like to have a physical keyboard there are even external keyboards available which you can connect to your phone or tablet through a Bluetooth connection. Naturally carrying one of these keyboards makes your device a bit less portable but you will be able to type that much faster which is helpful if you do a lot of emailing or other text based usage. You'll have to decide for yourself whether a touch screen is good enough or whether you'd like a more serious keyboard for your Android device.
