help recording with pro tools?
I don't know a lot about computers, so it has taken me a long time to get started. I'm using Live lite 6 from ableton, which is just a form of pro tools. Now, I'm not able to record. I followed the step by step lesson but when I play back I can't hear anything, and no lines showed up from me playing. I'm brand new to recording so i don't know much
I'm using m audio fast track pro MIDI interface and I think the problem is the computer Isn't detecting it. A button on the right hand bottom corner of the computer is for the interface, but when I click on it, almost everything is blank and i can't click anything. I don't know what to do

If I'm not mistaken, Ableton Live is not a recording software, but more of a LIVE performance software. If you have Pro Tools, that would be better for you anyway. Ableton Live and Pro Tools are totally different (even though they can work together)
